So, it's Friday afternoon and, if I say it's been a pretty hectic week, newswise, I think Im understating things, no?

Im stil working on the house so I wont be getting much R&R, but, what are you all doing for fun and relaxation, this almost last weekend of summer?

My friends are planning some "end of summer" partys. We bid adieu to this summer season, and enter the "sweaters and sweats" season.

I'm actually flying down to Miami for the weekend...Flying back on Tuesday...There is a Hedge Fund gathering in Miami Beach on Monday...Should be fun,can't wait to drive down 8th street and see all of my fellow infedels.

Gonna be going to the Hollywood Bowl for "An Eveing in Old Havana" where the music of the great Cachao will be remembered. Sunday I will be attending a meeting after Mass at our Parish Hall where I expect to exchange some "niceties" with "Victicrates" who will attempt to "enlighten" the congregation on why Mr.Obama is the man to vote for. I am sure I will be causing heartburns for some of the comem**das.
All in all a good weekend coming up. Hope you all have the best.

I'm putting on my (non-Dallas) cowboy hat and going to a real, live rodeo. It's far away enough from Philly that I won't get shot for wearing the hat.

I may even get gutsy enough to ride the mechanical bull. If you don't hear from me after tomorrow, the bull won.

Just purchased a 40-inch Samsung 1080p LCD TV and a Blu-Ray player for the bedroom HT. It's gonna be fun installing it and watching high-def!

I've been cooking for two days for a big Cuban party: roast pork (marinated in lime and orange juice, of course), black beans, rice, guava paste, garbanzos with carrots, onions, broccoli, hoping someone else will supply the rum. Enjoy the weekend!
