Cherna is the Nassau grouper. The Goliath grouper (formerly Jewfish) is called in Cuba a "guasa".

BTW, yous guys would be nuts to even consider eating this thing. Notwithstanding the fact it is a protected species, large reef fish like this carry ciguatera. Any old Cuban abuelo would tell you that.
