One statement
Like almost everyone who watched, I was awed by Governor Sarah Palin's speech last night at the Republic National Convention. And although her entire speech was exceptional, one statement in particular jumped out at me. It went mostly unnoticed by the media, but I believe this statement eloquently and concisely describes the Democratic candidate for President.
My fellow citizens, the American presidency is not supposed to be a journey of "personal discovery." This world of threats and dangers is not just a community, and it doesn't just need an organizer.
What a perfect description of Obama and the liberal establishment's fantasy mentality.

Sarah Palin: Ronald Reagan reincarnated as a woman! Her delivery was very Reaganesque, her constant poise and delivery of zingers with wit and a smile. Palin and Reagan both have small-town roots. Something about the water in small-town America that gives it a knack for generating such genuine talent?

Palin, unlike so many poseurs and women-as-victims "feminists," is a true, no BS, down-to-business feminist. The real deal. Actions and accomplishments, not talking and whining and blaming. That's why the trendy, establishment-vetted, "brand-name" so-called feminists can't and won't forgive her. Of course there's massive hypocrisy involved, but what else is new? Next to Palin, Nancy Pelosi is a screaming fraud.

The liberals are toast. Hillary is toast. Biden is toast. How would you like to be Biden today and know you have to face her in a debate? And it wouldn't be any better for Hillary.
I am so happy because Palin has been my first choice for veep for a long time when everyone was deriding me. Why would he pick her when he has such other qualified people?
Just as someone else here has said, I've been calling her the next Reagan.
What a great convention! So well choreographed so far to lead up to her.
Huckabee's desk story was great. The governor of Hawaii was perfect. Giuliani was his usual great self. She was spectacular.
I hope this makes the dems understand that they must forever say goodbye to Moveon and Moore and return to their sensible roots or they can never win. I hope the repubs remember that to win we must be true to our conservative values.
I do believe we will win handily in November.
The only sad thing for me was the political choice to keep Bush out of speeches for the most part. Bush has kept us safe and kept taxes low and has stood his ground in our fight against terrorism. For all the things I am angry with him about, there is a lot to admire. I hope history treats him better than this convention has.

That was one among many good lines. The one that really grabbed me was when she said (I'm citing from memory): "The Democrats are always saying that they're fighting for you. Well, John McCain is the only candidate in this election who actually fought for you." Just a fine, fine speech, and it's good to see some new blood being infused into the Republican Party at the national level.
On another note, I hear that Biden's hair plugs worked their way loose during the speech.

Today I was writing an e-mail about the msm and I had to correct a typo. I had in error written merdia. Isn't that perfectly fitting?
