Holy Recanting Journalists, Batman! Someone in the MSM Recanted!

SallyQuinn.jpg

Sally Quinn of the Washington Post is on record as doubting Sarah Palin's ability to be a good mother and hold the office of Vice President.

"Is she prepared for the all-consuming nature of the job? She is the mother of five children, one of them a four-month-old with Down Syndrome. Her first priority has to be her children. When the phone rings at three in the morning and one of her children is really sick what choice will she make? I'm the mother of only one child, a special needs child who is grown now. I know how much of my time and energy I devoted to his care. He always had to be my first priority. Of course women can be good mothers and have careers at the same time. I've done both... A mother's role is different from a father's."

But then, in a twist unheard of in the MSM, she changed her mind... AND ADMITTED THAT SHE WAS WRONG!

I need to sit down, I think I am hallucinating.

Thanks to Jorge Barroso for the tip.

Don't get too excited.

The MSM never admits to being wrong, without loop-holes.

I have listened to the clip a couple times and she's still up on that 'nag' she rode in on:

BTW, who's George Romney??

Good for Miss Quinn! One must be permitted the nagging suspicion that she sees that this vilification campaign backfired.
Now let's see how many others are as fair.
drillanwr, you are so right. Listening to the speeches before her, it was easy to see these are all decent people, but she was the best for bringing excitement back to our side.

This has everything to do with the backlash those in the MSM are experiencing because of their biased comments.

One has to be deaf, dumb and blind not to realize that for the past several years the MSM has become the mouthpiece of the Democratic Party.

George Romney was Mitt's dad. He was Governor of Michigan and a presidential candidate for the Republicans in 1968 (I think).

This thing is messed up on at least two levels. First I doubt her sincerity. She and other backpedaling newsies and pundits got taken to the woodshed by feminists who at least have some principles and others, and are looking like politicians themselves, talking out of all 12 sides of their mouths like Larry Craig after he was hauled out of the men's room.

Second, assuming for a moment that Quinn is sincere, it troubles me always that someone's mind, whether journalist or ol' fashioned plain-wrap voter, is so quickly and easily changed by just a speech.

Don't get me wrong, I liked Palin from the get-go when I had read up on her a while back when her name was being kicked around in June or July, about all the things she DID in Alaska that took a lot of spine. Sure, it's a big plus that she comes across with confidence and cheer (a lot like Reagan) while able to cut you to ribbons with that smile on her face, but it's all about what a candidate will actually DO in office for me. Did Quinn just not read about or research her at all beforehand? Was her mind really changed entirely by one speech? If yes, then she's truly an idiot, dumber and less sophisticated than the worst of the voters she has contempt for.
