Stop the presses!!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, if you were thinking about donating to some hurricane relief effort in Cuba or sending money to those in the affected areas, hold on to your cash. The following report proves that, as the saying goes, en Cuba no falta nada!

Wow! I'm ready to move there tomorrow! What fools we are to stay in this horrible country! Let's go Cubans, let's go!

Everyone has an opinion about what is the right view to have on Cuba but no one has 'taken up arms' so to speak in the name of change for CUBA. Cuba needs a new MARTI/MACEO to end this madness once in for all. Still waiting.....

My impression has always been that the folks on the island have been so absolutely beaten down by the regime, that the urge to take up arms as a solution is just not a possibility. People would rather just leave than suffer even more than they already are. That's a tough nut to crack. Change will have to come from within the ruling circle. And that can only happen after both Fidel and Raul are totally, completely gone from the scene.

Indeed, we have been beaten down.

Ana Rodriguez realized it years ago, during one of her escapes from the women's prison and she said in "Diary of a Survivor", that what shocked her the most was seeing that while they were plantadas, the entire Cuban society was being broken up.

And this was basically at the beginning of the nightmare. Nobody can really quantify the extent of the damage so many years later.
