Charles Gibson, Horse's Ass.

Horses_ass_1.jpg

ABC's Charles Gibson had the holy grail in his hands, the opportunity to be the first journalist to interview Sarah Palin, in depth, after she secured the Republican V.P. nomination, electrified the audience with her speech and got the whole country talking about her. He had the opportunity to seriously probe Palin about issues. But nooooo. Instead he decided to become a quizmaster in an attempt to trip Palin up and make her look bad. That lame approach came across as condescending and not serious. For example he asks if the U.S. should go to war on behalf of a country like Georgia if they were a member of NATO. The correct answer (which Palin gave) is obviously yes, otherwise why sign the treaty. Here's a question for Charlie, do you know what the obligations of NATO members are? Do you think it's a country club? Douchebag.

Also he asked about Israel's right to defend itself against an existential threat from Iran. What answer did this idiot expect? Did he possibly expect her to say that Israel should allow itself to be wiped off the map by Iranian lunatics? Que clase de come mierda. What he revealed is his apparent belief that Iran and Israel are equivalent and that Israel should somehow bow to the "world community's" desire for "peace" at the expense of its very existence. I still don't know why any self-respecting Jew would vote for the anti-Israel Democrats. They paint Republicans as Jew-hating Christian fundamentalists when we're the staunchest supporters of a free and Democratic Israel.

I wonder if Charles Gibson has the FUCKING BALLS to ask freshman senator Barack Obama how he thought he was qualified to be President after 150 days in session in that body. Does he have the FUCKING BALLS to ask Obama how many heads of state he met BEFORE he declared his candidacy for president?

I encourage the MSM to keep on doing what it's doing. Nothing motivates the Republican base more than the transparent hatred that the press has for us. Carry on.

UPDATE:

In this gushing interview old Charlie asks Obama the hubris question, but just a bit differently.

Dittos and more dittos.

Saw a portion of the videoed interview and had to walk away from it, made me so angrrrrrrry.

Yeah, he sure blew it -- in more ways than one: Gibson has lost his formerly affable persona and has morphed into another condescending obnoxious royal pain in the privates. Apparently he doesn't want to be left out of the moonbatty club trafficked by his MSM cohorts. Que lastima -- these people sell themselves so short. To her credit, Palin answered his questions without much of a flinch while he kept laying the mines in her path.

Low-life. Keep it up and your ratings are bound to end in the tank, along with MSNBC.

Henry- I watched this tonight and I wanted to smack the smug look off of his face. "I was bombarded with so many words- is your answer yes or now?" And she continued to repeat her point (about not second-guessing Israel) because he was too thick to understand she was not going to play his "What if" game. She was eloquent and smart and he was a horse's ass if ever I saw one. Please, Lord, let Sean Hannity have about 10 minutes with Obama to Hannitize him, please!!!

Claudia, very funny, just give Sean 5 minutes with Barry "Above my pay grade" Soetoro...

Gibson was haughty, disrespectful and condescending, btw he is a complete and utter moron on foreign policy.

He doesn't understand the principle of collective security in NATO...

Marx forbid, Palin actually believes in God and actually believes America is doing the right thing morally in Iraq and abroad!!!

He obviously has never read American history, be it Washington, Lincoln, FDR invoking God in times of war!!!

It is a fascinating exercise to watch the way Gibson interviewed Obama and compare it to the interview with Palin. I just watched them back to back.
Even the camera angles and seating, background, and lighting are arranged to show Obama off in a soft more congenial way than these in the Palin interview. And Gibson's condescension with her was palpable. But she kept her cool and answered well. I hope she can keep this up. Mercy, the msm doesn't want her to win. (main stream merdia - stet!)
