So, does the Cuban government accept a US offer of humanitarian assistance - preliminary total of 5 million? No. Of course not. The Cuban government not only wants the - ahem - "embargo" lifted, but it wants to be allowed credit for it's purchases. This, despite it defaulting on every loan and credit it has ever been extended.

Gee, I get it, raul. Not only are you and your cohorts more concerned with remaining in power than with the survival of the Cuban people, and not only do you want to buy goods from the enemy, the country you have made it your busness to criticize and destroy, but you want to be afforded credit for your "purchases", despite a dismal credit rating, and you want that enemy country, the United Sates of America, to ultimately subsidize you, a ruthless, communist, totalitarian regime and self-declared enemy 90 miles from its shores?

Unfortunately, the mainstream media [as expected] is already falling into line and asking for a lifting of the embargo. They are buying into Castro, Inc.'s extortion tactics line, hook and sinker, I would say enthustically even!
