Cuba's Vice President in Harlem: A Suggestion

Septuagenarian Cuban "Vice President" José Ramón Machado Ventura was feted in Harlem, evoking not one but three standing ovations. Well, I've got an idea. Next time David Duke's in Miami, let's have a rally at the Caridad del Cobre chapel. Heck, since we have to live down our reputation as being crazy, we'll just give him one standing ovation. I mean, isn't it the same thing? No, not quite. (Expletive deleted) The Herald article here.

Disclaimer: It occurs to me that before anyone gets his or her undergarments a-twist, I should make clear that this post is not intended to be an endorsement in any way, shape, or form of Mr. Duke, whose views I find abhorrent. I am merely indicating that to celebrate the number 2, 3?, man in the regime in Harlem is tantamount to doing the same for Mr. Duke in Miami. Enough said.

I thought the were going to send Lage or that clown Roque.

Was Rangel or Serrano there with "Rev" Walker???

Remember how we were treated when we did not want to give the key of the city to Nelson "I was caught with enough dynamite in my car to blow up Dolphin Stadium" Mandela...

Funny, I was thinking along the same lines and framing a disclaimer as you were commenting.

Machado was introduced by the Rev. Lucius Walker, head of the "Pastors for Peace in the Grave" who has been a pro-Castro activist for decades.
