You wanted a bailout bill?

Well, you got it. And a whole lot more...

The good times generated by Reagan have been squandered. The left has taken over this country. I am terrified.

As an aside, Naomi Wolf was on with Michael Medved, who was entirely too polite to her.
She asserted that she felt so sorry for Palin, who was completely out of her depth. Unbelievable as this is - Palin blew Biden away, I gave Wolf a pass since I know she is a partisan.

But then she began to describe Palin as someone who looks good, speaks well, and is an empty suit who has no experience and, since we live in such dangerous times, is equipped to do irreparable damage to our country. (Wolf threw in the conspiracy theory crap about how she will be a puppet for Rove/Cheney who will use her as a figurehead for their continuation of the removal of freedom from this country once and for all for this country).
If I were to describe a current major candidate for office that way, who would I really be describing? To me that describes Obama.
So I asked someone who I would be describing using Wolf's words. The answer? Palin!

We keep talking about the NYTimes and other leading liberal newspapers losing their readership. And we keep talking about how the msm have much less influence because of competition from blogs and right wing radio.
So someone explain to me why 50% or more of this country believe this mess is caused by Republicans, believe we are losing our civil rights under Bush, when a bill like this wins with the support of most dems and when conservatives are against it, (why was Bush for all of this horrible invasion of our liberty, why didn't he send it back for revision?) and why Obama is considered a safe bet for so many Americans when he will only do much more of the same?

Where are the sane people? Palin looked pretty sane to me at that debate. Where is McCain?
Oh, dear me.

I couldn't agree with you more. Sad and scary times are ahead of us if Obama is elected.

Honey,

The fact that the MSM is in the tank for Obama is not only scary but is eerily familiar to the Cuban media being in the tank for fidel castro.

If you pick up a Bohemia (and many other Cuban magazines and newspapers) from the early 1950s to the 1960s you will find nothing but propaganda for fidel castro conspicuously omitting his university days of gansterism. Bohemia’s ex-director Miguel Angel Quevedo couldn’t live with his guilt and while in exile in Venezuela, committed suicide.

But the Cuban media wasn’t the only one to be blamed in this whole castro fiasco. The New York Times was and is still in the tank for castro. Herbert Mathews and the New York Times created the castro mythology. Sounds familiar?

During the sixties, the New York Times had an ad campaign the slogan "I got my job through the New York Times" showing citizens who had obtained jobs through its classified section. Taking their queue from the Times, on the cover of “National Review” appeared a caricature of fidel castro with the following caption: “I got my job through the New York Times.”

Should obama win this election (God forbid!) I plan to wear a T-shirt with a caricature of him with the following caption: I got my job thanks to the MSM.
