Insanity at the IAEA

What's that old line; stop the world I want to get off?

The International Atomic Energy Agency elected 11 new IAEA Board members.

Included in the group, Cuba:

The General Assembly of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Friday named Spain, Argentina, Cuba and Uruguay to its Board of Governors.

According to reports reaching here, Turkey, Romania, Burkina Faso, Egypt, Malaysia and New Zealand will also be part of the 35-member board, IAEA president Gianni Ghisi of Italy said.

The Board of Governors is an executive organ of the IAEA, which monitors global nuclear security.

Among the pending issues before the board are the atomic programs of Iran and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and the choice of a new director general to replace Egypt's Mohamed El Baradei, who plans to leave office at the end of his third four-year term late next year.

Please, also note that the only media I could find reporting on this is outside U.S. MSM. In this case, China Economic Net. How screwed up is that?

If this is an organ of the United Nations, then that explains it all. The United Nations routinely includes Cuba and/or other human rights violating countries in its group of countries that is supposed to look after human rights violations [talk about the fox guarding the chicken coop], it always votes to condemn the United States embargo on Cuba, yet it didn't condemn Raul's monarchical take over of power, nor castro I or II's human rights violations, and this is the same group of countries that infamously voted that Zionism = Racism.
