For a change, truthful satire from SNL (UPDATED x 2)

Update, Oct 6. at 11:20 PM - Michelle Malkin is all over this with her usual superb reportage. Here's what she has to say:

Over the weekend, I watched a hilarious, dead-on, and surprisingly honest skit on Saturday Night Live about the craptastic bailout and its Democrat roots. The skit called out Fannie/Freddie and featured Nancy Pelosi dragging out various sob-story “victims” — who turned out to be a parade of deadbeats and schemers. I was going to post the video for you tonight, but I can’t.

The video has been pulled. Vanished into thin air.

Where did it go and why?

I have a theory.

One of the rapacious couples featured in the skit was Herbert and Marion Sandler (portrayed by Darrell Hammond and Casey Wilson). Unlike the other composite figures, the Sandlers are a real-life couple.

As Todd Thurman at Heritage notes, the Sandlers are left-wing moguls who built “a mortgage company whose major product was subprime mortgages and they sold it to Wachovia for $24.2 billion in 2006. And what do the Sandlers do when they are not peddling subprime garbage? They are busy writing checks to leftist groups like the Center for American Progress, the American Civil Liberties Union, and Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). Yes that ACORN.”

The Sandlers are seething over the skit. Anyone else smell a legal threat behind the disappearance of the vid?

Read the whole thing. It'll make you sick. Whatever profane hyperbole I manage to say about liberals, they always seem to manage to warrant more, and more, and more.

Update, Oct. 6 at 11:00 PM - I'd say this was unbelievable, but it's not really. It's more of the same. NBC pulled the SNL video that blamed the Dems and George Soros for the DSFMFMC (Democrat Sponsored Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac Clusterfuck) from their site and Hulu. I guess the truth of the satire was too much to bear for the tolerant, compassionate liberals who, of course, want diversity of opinion. If anyone snagged it, send me an email from the sidebar. Whoa! If SNL almost gets it, the MSM must not be doing a good job of hiding the Democrats' extensive culpability in this mess. I don't know. I don't watch the MSM, and was under the impression that the masses were led to believe it was all the Republicans' fault.

And Wachovia is in the tank, tho it didn't "fail". Huh. When are we going to see these two do the perp walk for fraud? anyone? Barney? Barney?
