Real Clear Politics on Fannie Mae, The Dems, and Armando Falcon
Note that there were Democrats who tried to stop the implosion of Fannie/Freddie. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) is mentioned as one of those. Unfortunately, all of the congresspersons that beat up on Falcon and carried water for Fannie Mae in the now famous hearing were also Dems.

Last night SNL did a skit about the bail out that actually, are you sitting down? ...blamed the Democrats for the mess we're in. I kid you not.

Make that INfamous hearing. The guilty parties should all resign in shame, and if they were Republicans, the MSM and the Dems would be howling to high heaven for them to do so. All they're ever gonna do, though, is try to pass the buck, and sadly, they may wind up re-elected. Apparently, all too many voters really are THAT stupid (or worse).
