It's good to be the King
Submitted without commentary:
In DC: Franklin Raines, the former top man at Fannie Mae, bought a three-bedroom, seven-bath penthouse condominium in the West End’s Ritz-Carlton Residences for $4.9 million. The condo has a rooftop terrace with a hot tub, a butler’s pantry, and three parking spaces. Raines, director of the US Office of Management and Budget under President Clinton, was CEO of Fannie Mae from 1999 to 2004.

7 bathrooms? A butler's pantry? Definitely not habitat for humanity. This is so very bourgeoisie. These freaking liberals love putting on the Ritz while the rest of us live off freaking Ritz crackers yet we REPUBLICANS ARE SO UNFAIR!!!!! Hypocrites all of them!!

I would like to know what Mr. Raines finances looked like in 1999. I've heard he walked away from Fanny Mae with close to 100 Million $$$$.

Isn't Franklin Raines the mulatto who has been slamming Barney Frank in the Fannie? Maybe that's why he needs all those bathrooms.

As I understand it, Raines walked away with $240 million in bonuses from Fannie due to his creative accounting. The courts made him give back $50 million of that, which left $190 million in his pockets. When is he going to be prosecuted for fraud? What can we do to make sure this happens?
