Physician, heal thyself (UPDATED)

"Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." --Matthew 7:5

I have to laugh at these leftist idiots and Kool-Aid drinkers when they express outrage -- OUTRAGE! -- at what certain malcontents are yelling at Sarah Palin's campaign events. This is a new phenomena: they bash Palin's crowds, and by extension McCain and Palin, because of a few yelling unseemly and venomous things about Obama: "Off with his head!", "Kill him!", etc.

Let me be very clear about this so that there is no equivocation: Anyone -- anyone -- making a threat against a President, or against a Presidential candidate, should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

I don't condone the behavior of these malefactors in any way shape or form. If they have made threats, or if they have said things that can be interpreted as threats, they should be thrown out of these events and prosecuted. Having lived through the 1960s and experienced the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King, all before I turned thirteen, and then the attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan, I do not take kindly to any of that crap.

Now, as to the allegation that they are calling Obama names, do I condemn them for doing this? Do I condemn them for calling him a terrorist? Or saying that he suports terrorists? Or that he is a Marxist? They have the right to call Obama every name in the book if they want to. It's their First Amendment right, after all. I may not agree with what they say, but they have a right to say it, just like DailyKos and DemocratUnderground, and so many other idiots on the left, have a right to spew their bullshit on a daily basis. My personal opinion is that these people should be told their kind of hateful speech is unwelcome and asked to leave with as much relish as if they were throwing out a Code Pink wacko or a Pembroke Pines blogger.

(No, I don't think Obama is a terrorist. Yes, I believe befriending someone who called for the violent overthrow of the United States may justify in the minds of some that he supports terrorism. Yes, I think that his alliances with certain elements calls into question his motives and judgment. Yes, I believe Obama is a Marxist.)

I want to remind the loons on the left that we have endured eight years of their lunatic, hate-filled, venomous screeds, and murder fantasies about Bush, Cheney, Rice, et al. More than I'd care to remember. After eight years of Bush Derangement Syndrome -- and now Palin Derangement Syndrome -- I find it laughable and unbelievably hypocritical that they point fingers at us for this with a straight face. Oh, you're saying I'm full of shit? That I'm just another right-wing wacko? Here are some reminders -- and this is NOT an exhaustive list:

  • "Kill Bush" shirts?
  • All of the Bush assassination conjectures published and broadcast?
  • The movies about our troops, where they are portrayed as nothing more than a modern incarnation of the Great Khan's barbarian hordes?
  • Alec Baldwin saying on a talk show that someone should physically harm Henry Hyde?
  • The unbelievable hatred towards Governor Palin's Down's Syndrome child, Trig, which, in and of itself, should invalidate any criticism from the left until we hear their resounding and public condemnations about it?
  • Wishing Clarence Thomas would have a stroke?
  • Comedy Central putting a bullseye on President Bush?
  • Code Pink calling for Bush's arrest?
  • A kid, whose parents scripted him to make a video where he says he wants "to kill the Motherfucking Bush with a big hole in his brain"?
  • A student who threatened to kill Bush?
  • Cindy Sheehan's dream of killing Bush as a baby?
  • All of the online games where you can kill Bush?

Remember those, hmmm?

For more, go to Michelle Malkin's post about this and feast your eyes on what she's posted. (I welcome all commenters to add to the list I made with your own remembrances of the tolerant behavior on the other side of the aisle.)

So, to the left, I politely and respectfully ask you, I beseech you, to please take your preaching and your outrage and shove it right up your asses.

Update: As if to bolster my argument, the libs, right on cue, have two new examples for me to point out. In Philadelphia:

Outside on Broad Street, waiting for Palin to leave, one man was heard saying: “Let’s stone her, old school.”

Another protester shouted at someone entering the hotel, “Wait till your daughter wants an abortion, you hypocrite.”

And check these four tolerant and compassionate Obama supporters out:

Thanks to Wake Up America for this lovely tasteful Barack Obama supporter photo that we McCain supporters might use as an example of what to strive for. I’m sure we will see it on MSNBC and CNN just as soon as Haley’s Comet rolls around again.

From the lying, hypocritical, Race-Baiting, unvetted, tasteless Barack Obama campaign:

As Barack Obama has said himself, the last thing we need from either party is the kind of angry, divisive rhetoric that tears us apart at a time of crisis when we desperately need to come together. That is the kind of campaign Sen. Obama will continue to run in the weeks ahead.

Here are some typical Obama supporters wearing Sarah Palin is a C*nt T-shirts and leading by example for us.”

That vile little child in the video, who so convincingly explains how President Bush should be killed, is obviously reading from a script. That adults would not only ask a child to repeat those filthy words but to have him do their dirty work for them is despicable and just shows us the lengths people will go to.

The problem is not with the idiots on either side, although the left seems to produce them in vast numbers. It is with the reporting. The lapdog media will actively seek out ( or invent ) them at GOP events and ignore them at Democratic ones.

The media attitude is that Democrats can act like fascists because they are really angels while Republicans must act like angels because they are really fascists. The only difference between the media and Democratic Underground ravers is that the DU folk are honest about their feelings.
