If Cuba could vote for America's president
The Economist magazine is conducting a worldwide online poll to determine which of the two candidates for president of the United States of America is favored by all the people of the world. It is no surprise, as the map below illustrates, that Obama is the overwhelming favorite. It is hard to go against a guy that 1) you know nothing about other than he is the Messiah, and 2) you have yet to hear anything even approaching negative in the media in regards to him.
McCain, on the other hand, has been demonized, he has been villianized, and his running mate, Sarah Palin, has been called every contemptible name in the book, and a few names that have yet to make it into the latest version of Webster's.

There is something interesting about this "Global Electoral College" map, though. Notice who are the few countries that prefer McCain. You have Iraq, Georgia, Sudan, and most interesting of all, Cuba.
Perhaps the Cubans on the island are seeing something that most of the world is missing.

Of course! For five years the democrats have been saying nothing except "We don't give a shit about the Iraqis" -- the same thing they said about the Vietnamese and Cambodians. Loud and clear.

Not surprising if you recall his speech in Berlin:
"People of Berlin – people of the world – this is our moment. This is our time. ... With an eye toward the future, with resolve in our hearts, let us remember this history, and answer our destiny, and remake the world once again."
Obama and his supporters already obviously believe he's running for PRESIDENT OF THE WORLD. (the mind reels)

Not surprising at all - with one exception. From what I see in Israeli Media - McCain would win in close to a 70/30 split. The rest of the world wants the US to be humbled - as they wanted the British Empire - before us - to be humbled. The US was able, more or less to take up the gauntlet after WWII. After the US - WHO? - with luck India. Without it - Katie Bar the Door!

Alberto -
Sory I did NOT pick this up in my first comment. The map shows VENEZUELA as "leaning Obama" - there is hope yet it seems. -S-

Let me put this is in my own unique way: FUCK what the rest of the world thinks. "Global Electoral College"? WTF?! These are people who have depended on our generosity and blood for decades. They want this simpering little Marxist to rule us to bring them down to their level? FUCK them.
