Another Cuban done good story
This one fled Cuba at the age of five, with his mother, and is now an NFL referee:
On the wall behind the desk chair is a map of Cuba — Riveron and his mother have never returned. There is Cuban currency, framed, and other personal mementos of a country Riveron says he does not really remember.

The other day, I was talking to a friend precisely about that: how Cuban Americans have succeeded in the United States! Almost every time that you hear of a "Hispanic" that does well in the USA, you can bet your bottom dollar that its a Cuban American whether it's in academia, business, art, society or sports. Yet, ironically, nobody really knows this, because we are, also, the recipients of an unprecedented slander campaign by the mainstream media that is egged on by the castroite tyranny. Unlike other groups in this country that can count on the good auspices of their mother country to back them up, we have an anti-country that uses all of its formidable power via its embassies, cultural attaches, national press, national cinema [ICAIC], visiting scholars, international symposia, and sundry international fairs to slander us.
