Ha ha - UPDATED

Looks like Obama has seen the light for now re: Taxes. Looks like for now, he's leaving the Bush tax cuts in place at least until their 2011 sunset. Smart move. But all those buttwipes are probably fuming that I will not have my taxes upped.
Looks like Obama is keeping Gates as defense secretary for a while. All those punks at the kos or on the local lefty blogs must be peeing in their panties that a Bush man would be in charge of defense.
I guess they expected some peacenik in there. I love all the broken promises and the Prez Elect hasn't even been sworn in ....
UPDATE (HENRY)
The "buttwipes" are definitely fuming. For evidence, read this great post from our friends at the DUmmie FUnnies. For those that are unfamiliar DU (Democratic Underground) is a message board for wacky left wing douchebags, the kind that got Obama the nomination precisely because of his affiliations with people like Jeremiah "God Damn America" Wright and Bill "we didn't bomb enough" Ayers. Their posts on the message board make for some great unintentional comedy.
Update # 2 - Cigar Mike - Amusing tit for tat between reporter and Obama re: "change"
Update # 3 - I love this typical quote from one of the hard left bloggers out there ...
“Is it true he is going to allow Bush’s tax cuts to continue until 2011? We voted for change, not to govern with the same old cronies”
(Nan2008, HuffingtonPost.com)
Amazing that these neanderthal liberals are just dying to have people's taxes raised and they're upset that it is not going to happen right away. They are dying to take my money away. They are all a bunch of wankers. Hope they rot in their squalor.

I suppose the moonbats are also upset about the stimulus package Team Obama's been talking about. It will be interesting to see how Bush haters react now that it will be "their guy" implementing the same policies.

There is a reality here that I need someone with more knowledge to explain:
How are we going to pay for all these billions being given out in these bail-outs/stimulus plans?
Common sense tells me that the economic path we're embarking can get very complicated way down the line.
At one point down the line an Obama adminstration will either raise taxes and cut down on defense spending because curtailing government spending won't be enough to make the sortfall that we'll have.

Henry, thanks for the update. those comments are hysterical. they could have been written by Mr. Limpet and his posse ...

We're never going to fully pay for the trillions in deficit spending that we're embarking on. The best way out of the mess is to grow the economy to the point where the debts become smaller in proportion to it. Here's the analogy:
Someone who makes $30,000 per year can little afford to carry $10,000 in short term debt. But someone who makes $150,000 can. If you're making $30,000 but somehow taking out that debt is a bridge to a $150,000 a year job then it can be a good investment.
Contrary to popular belief, the surpluses of the late 90's were not the result of budget cuts. They were the result of money coming into the treasury faster than the government was willing to spend it (thank you Newt) because of the growing economy.
You're not going to tax your way out of debt. You grow your way out of it and even then it will never be fully gone because there will always be something to spend the newfound revenue on. It's about managing the debt.

Henry,
You made my point, the issue is how are we going to grow our economy when more than ever American jobs are being outsourced abroad because of the global economy and many other factors.
The American economy of the nineties have lots to thank to Newt, yet Bill Clinton took all the credit for it.
I'm afraid that Obama and the liberal Democrats will try to downsize our military spending to help the economy at a time when we're more threaten than ever by many different enemies.

FFC,
Look the United States is never going to be a manufacturing giant again. It's not our competitive advantage anymore. Our economy is becoming based on technology development at the high end and services on the mid and lower end. Devices like the iPod can only be invented in societies like ours that are consumeristic. The manufacture of them will fall to other countries.
We're going to have a period of adjustment because many people were simply living beyond their means. There will be rough times for a while but these things pass. We need to keep the pressure on our new president to do the right things (not the wrong ones like raising taxes).

I am an Obama supporter, I am very pleased with the people who he has nominated so far and I am not surprised at all. Why? Because I read enough non-paranoiac stuff about the guy that convinced me that this is a rather moderate, common-sense guy and not the crazy commie-muslim-godless-terrorist-radical caricature that a lot of people bought into.
So the joke is not only on the loonie left. If you know what I mean.

Henry,
I don't know if you're aware of this issue but, lots of our intellectual property knowledge (I'm not talking about manufacturing capabilities) is also being outsourced now a days.
I know that we're not going to be the manufacturing giant we were 40+ years ago.
About thirty years ago I was directly involved in manufacturing as this trend began to shift and became one of the reasons I went back to school to get training in another area and got out of manufacturing.
Now I'm in a different line of work and seen for the last 20 years how this line of work is also being outsourced more than ever to other nations.
My point is that there has been this trend that the economic power players in America are finding ways to outsource our jobs more and more and is not because of competition (as they claim) it is just that they want to make an even larger profit margin.
Their greed will eventually have a detriment effect in our society and will undermine the American economy and it's way of life as is happening now.
Trust me, these economic power players in America are no longer the patriotic types we had during WW2 as they only care about becoming more wealthy no matter what happens to the country.
Eventually the American people feed up with this trend will embrace the liberal's position and support raising taxes on these economic power players.

Eduardo,
Please don't count your chickens until they're hatched.
Just because Obama has selected former Clinton's people and Mr. Gates to his cabinet don't mean shit about the hidden agenda he has planned for America.
I don't think that we bought the caricature that you claim.
I'm sticking with my guns and say that the "Messiah" will take the mask-off at the appropriate time in history.
Obama's choice of past associations tells plenty about his character and principles. Tell me who you're with and I tell you who you're, that simple.
At one point in his administration during the next four years something will happen that will expose his true self to the people.

Ed, thus far the joke is on the loony buttwipe left not us.
He made us no promises; only threats. I wish to God that in 4 years he performs the miracle cure and we're all better off. Unlike the loony left, I want the country to do better for the good of the country; not for the party.
His picks of Paul Volcker is good. I've always admired Volcker. He has some good economic advisers from Univ. of Chicago on his team who I respect.
He's punting on foreign policy it seems. But we shall see. But the loony buttwipe left were expecting an immediate revolution and payback time right away. Indictments, tax hikes, surrender, free healthcare for all.
I think the O has gotten a major reality check ... we shall see ... the first real test shall be the Free Choice Act and the Freedom of Choice Act. Let's see what he does. I'm betting he'll be at war with the far left congress over control.
Watching from the sidelines, it will be fun to watch as they fight each other.
If he decides not to raise taxes at all, it will get him far ... Let's see if he listens to the reason for his advisors who actually know economics rather than the pelosi, reid, frank, conyers, waxman axis.

Cigar Mike Pancier,
I'm with your comments.
Who knows, maybe the government insiders and the Clinton people in his group strongly "WARNED" Obama about the consecuenses of implementing a Marxist agenda in America.
Who know what goes on behind closed government doors.
Time will only tell.

If you see the video, the guy on Obama's right is a professor from U. of Chicago. Weeks ago I posted his paper on how tax cuts cause revenue increases into the treasury.

Eduardo,
Really? What kind of stuff did you read? Because I read his voting record at the non-partisan National Journal that named him the most liberal senator in that body, more liberal than self-described socialist bernie sanders? I also read the personal blogs on his campaign web site, you know the ones that quoted Marx, Lenin, Castro, etc.? I also read the comments that he made in early in his political career before you or anyone else ever heard of Barack Hussein Obama. If you go strictly by what he's done, rather than how he ran in the general election you would get the impression that he has radical tendencies.
Whether he will be one or not is a question mark. But don't come in here with your patronizing fucking attitude and talk shit. You're just embarrassing yourself.
