People to People Contacts

Haven't done one of these in a while. In the following video a Canadian tourist try his best to explain representative democracy and human rights to a Cuban hotel worker WITH HIS FISTS.

If the American tourism ban on Cuba is lifted it'll only be a matter of time before similar educational activities begin rub off on the Cubans. I'm sure of it. After all Canadians are the closest thing to Americans without actually being Americans.

(Ed. Val): I embedded the video below the fold as the originally linked site has some NSFW stuff on it.

Mr. Gomez: Stop trying to destroy my people-to-people efforts to bring Obama change to Cuba. It is obvious that the poor stumbling man has not taken his medication and is insisting on going to a hospital. The right to free health care is being denied to him. Why don't you post the Cuban news videos on YouTube showing how happy the Cuban people are after three hurricanes hit the island this year? Peace out.

I would argue that pre-1959 Cubans are (or were) the closest thing to Americans. After them, maybe Australians.

Hey Bernardo Benes, looks like Sean Penn beat you at your own game in meeting with Raul Castro. The U.S. Government will never trust you after your bank was investigated in the 1980s for laundering drug money. You are now part of the Losers' Club with Raul Martinez and Joe Garcia.
