Bola De Nieve

One of the great Cuban pianists of the day. Referred to as the Cuban Louis Armstrong. Enjoy ...

Aguanta un poco: "¿One of the great Cuban pianists of the day?" No, no, no. Just a top lounge entertainer, that's it, and that's enough.

they said the same about Nat Cole, and he too was a great pianist, yet he was mainly known for his voice.

I love Bola 'e Nieve ... I remember going by the bar/ night club on Calle O y 21 what was the name of that place?) and my dad would tell me the Bola de Nieve used to perform there ... also, wasn't there another place on Calle 21 - closer to calle N, al frente del Capri ... just a few feet from the other place? or was that a cafeteria? gosh - how quickly we forget! this is from somebody that lived in Calle N & 23 until she was 22 years old - I miss el Vedado!

Anyway - my favorite Bola 'e Nieve song is "Drume Negrita" ... se te salen los pies de la cunita ... y la negra Mercé, ya no sabe que hacé.
