Police harrassing Cuban blogger Yoani Sanchez* Updated

Caught this just before turning in for the night. Yoani has been summoned to appear at the police station, tomorrow morning, 3 December 2008.

Her response is classic brave Yoani, in Spanish from her blog: Generación Y.

*Update: Yoani is back home and posting. They were threatened by Department of Interior officials, and told to cancel a planned Bloggers meeting. She was also warned that the State has reached its limit of tolerance for her counter revolutionary activities and associations, and that they will take all the pertinent and necessary measures, denunciations, and actions. (loosely translated by me, corrections welcome)

Read her account at her blog Generación Y.

We must encourage bloggers around the globe to simultaneously post this information. We have to keep the eyes of the world on Yoani. It's her best chance!
