If I had balls, said the Queen...

I wholeheartedly nominate Yoani Sanchez as the absolute KING of Cuban bloggers, for having the balls to do and say what very few MEN or women in Cuba dare say and do:

Antes de que me saquen de lugar con un “retírese ciudadana” alcanzo a decirle que no pueden firmar lo que me han dicho, porque no tienen el valor para hacerlo. La palabra “Cobardes” se las suelto casi en una carcajada. Bajo la escalera y oigo el ruido de las sillas que se acomodan en su lugar. El miércoles ha terminado temprano.

A quick translation:

Before they excuse me from the place with a "retire citizen," I get the chance to tell then that they cannot sign their name to what they have told me, because they do not have the courage to do so. The word "Cowards" bursts from me through laughter. I go down the stairs and hear the sound of chairs being rearranged back into place. Wednesday has ended early."

The castro regime has now increased the heat on Yoani and we - bloggers, readers, journalists, activists, all of us on the outside - and how we, together, get the word out on her plight, are her only protection.

Hail to the King! Long live the King!

And, if her gutsy words arent enough, here's the photo accompanying the words above:

Sean Penn takes pages and pages and thousands of words to try to justify that he's a "ballsy progressive" that has no fear in meeting with dictators, while King Yoani just whips hers out and slams them on the table with one word: COWARDS.

I dubbed Yoani "the most dangerous woman in Cuba" back in May. I wonder if Mr. Limpet caught that. I wonder if he is going to publicize this harassment by the Cuban national police. Or if he only cares about Yoani as long as he can use her name to try to make us look bad.

My bet is on the latter.
