Say what you will about Stone (who, by the way, looks like George Clooney next to the monkey in the beret), NOTHING beats Spielberg's ecstatic (possibly orgasmic) statement after he met with Castro I. By that standard, Stone is just a wannabe asskisser to totalitarian monstrosities.

Asombra, I disagree. Speilberg and other useful idiots make comments all the time ... but Oliver Stoned makes propaganda films for these tyrants. That to me is much worse.

Well, Mike, from a practical standpoint, you're right. I was thinking more along the lines of who's made the most outrageously abject, incredibly fatuous, completely inappropritae ass-kissing statement.

Actually the winner of the statement award goes to Alicia Walker who said that she wanted fifo to go down on her....

All these self-absorbed leftists can make all those statements and swoon in the presence of every abject dicator they can meet BECAUSE they don't have to live under their thumbs.

And the only reason this conga goes on is that our culture keeps pouring big bucks into these disgusting pseudo-artists by going to see their films and buying their products. I stopped subsidizing Stone years ago, when I first realized what kind of deluded person he was and how he idolized castro. And as much as I've liked Spielberg over the years, I haven't been back to see his work since "Schlinder's List" (his best work, in my humble opinion). I like the fact he supports the Holocaust Museum in D.C. and other good causes; I applaud any of these leftists' philantropy.

But I no longer support their pockets; it seems to me that they've gotten worse over the years and that facts and history mean nothing to them.

And the worst part about Stone and his biopics and historical flicks is that he NEVER gets it right. It's not about artistic license with Stone, it's about pushing his version of the facts. Grotesque.

Will Oliver Stoned......errrrrrrr Stone, ask Benedickhead Arnold Del Toto......Errrrr Del Toro to play the lead character?
