The 2008 Weblog Awards Endorsements - Val
The strength and power of blogs lies in their networking proficiency. The more blogs your read, the more chances you have of not just getting excellent news, information, opinion and enjoyment, but of being a part of this net based community. You also get to "meet" some really great people and develop relationships and kinships with same. I can safely say that I have never, in my entire life, read as much as I have read in the time Ive been blogging. And I can also say that I have met some incredible people whose knowledge and opinions an friendship and support I value. And, of course, had the privilege of enjoying some rather excellent writing to boot.
Thus, I look forward to Kevin Aylward's Weblog Awards every year. Not only do you get to support some of your blogging colleagues, but you get introduced to other bloggers you may have never heard of and whose work you might end up reading and linking to often. So, with that in mind, Id like to post my endorsements for many of the award categories in the 2008 Weblog Awards.
- Best blog: Hot Air
- Best Individual Blogger: The Anchoress, although both Jules Crittenden and Rachel Lucas are more than worthy of the honor.

There you have'em, folks. Please drop by these excellent blogs and give them a look-see. If you like what you read, then by all means add them to your favorites or blogrolls and visit often.
I hope you all will take the time to add your vote for the folks Ive listed or for your own personal faves. It's an honor as bloggers to win in your own particular category and get some well deserved recognition for all the hard work.
And, if you have your own faves you'd like the Babalu family to get a heads up on or vote for, feel free to drop their links or URLs in the comments.

Kevin Gregory at McClatchy Watch has been a great friend to my efforts at Herald Watch.

WOW! I wouldn't expect an endorsement going to liberal "stinky-poo" Perez Hilton. He does bring some Cuban issues to attention to his website.

Val, thank you for the endorsement! I'm trying hard to win this year. Perhaps if I do, I can retire from the awards!
