I simply don’t understand the reasoning behind those that believe that fidel’s death and funeral will go down with a whimper.

Listen folks… To these lefties fidel IS the revolution. For these 50+ years the MSM and the leftist, Communist liberals, -which in my humble opinion are the same thing- have created a fidel persona that only exists in their imagination. They’ve been whitewashing fidel’s crimes and to this day still insist in perpetuating the myth of Cuban education and healthcare. Trust me on this… The Cuban government have been planning fidel’s funeral these past two years. They are not going to let him go down with a whimper. The revolution needs a grandiose, elaborate funeral for its “strong and charismatic leader.” It needs it for the leftist revolutions of Latin America.

If the celebration of the 50th anniversary is any indication, the funeral will be low-key. Most Cubans will be home celebrating privately with whatever they can find, probably cheap rum.
