Lifting the Embargo here we come!
The Messiah makes nice with the Holocaust Denier.
Officials of Barack Obama's administration have drafted a letter to Iran from the president aimed at unfreezing US-Iranian relations and opening the way for face-to-face talks, the Guardian has learned. The US state department has been working on drafts of the letter since Obama was elected on 4 November last year. It is in reply to a lengthy letter of congratulations sent by the Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on 6 November.
Diplomats said Obama's letter would be a symbolic gesture to mark a change in tone from the hostile one adopted by the Bush administration, which portrayed Iran as part of an "axis of evil".
It would be intended to allay the suspicions of Iran's leaders and pave the way for Obama to engage them directly, a break with past policy.
Does anyone want to start a pool as to the date when the tongue-kissing with Raul begins?

First in line to tongue-kiss Raul is Barney Frank.

IMO, I think Lori is right. That's why el asesino is so conciliatory and complimentary of the one, and willing to piss off chavez.

George,
I definitely would not bet against it as Obama will be trying it’s hardest to surrender this country to its enemies behind the scenes.
And it’ll be repulsive to watch the tongue kiss between Raul and Barney “Fag”.
The only thing I'm waiting for is when something happens to this country because of this new administration irresponsible policies of embracing these scumbags.
When that happens, you’ll see Obama and his administration totally discredit itself in the eyes of the American people and the beginning of the end of his bullshit act.

how is this any different than the letter Reagan wrote to Brezhnev? If anything it was even more appalling since RR wrote it without any input from anyone. That turned out ok didn't it? A letter is just a letter - what you do afterwards is what matters.

cardinal,
Breshnev, with all of his faults and evils, simply cannot be compared to Ahmadinejad. Apples and oranges, dude.

People, give Barney "Oily Toad" Frank some credit, OK? Raul is WAY past his expiration date. A nice, fresh jinetero (whom Raul can easily provide) is another matter. Besides, Frank is used to male prostitutes, so it'd be the most, uh, natural thing in the world.
